Holidays
If you spend holidays:
- In one of the 27 European Union countries + Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland :
Ask Partenamut to send you your European Health Insurance Card (carte CEAM).
This enables you to prove you are covered by health insurance in Belgium and pay only the minimum at your holiday destination or be reimbursed on your return on the basis of the original copies of the invoices. The card is is only valid for a temporary stay and each member of the family has to have an individual card. This replaces the earlier E111 form.
- In one of the countries of the Mediterranean rim:
Get in touch with Partenamut for a document certifying you are covered (ex. BTun 11 for Tunisia).
- In any other countries:
Consider if private insurance is necessary.
