Reimbursement

SIS (Social Information System) card

This card is essential for qualifying for health care reimbursements (pharmacist, hospitals, etc.). Keep the SIS card with you anytime in Belgiuam. Any change in your life (birth, relocation etc.) should be reported to a Partenamut agency, which will update the data featured in your SIS card's electronic chip. If the card is lost or damaged, get in touch with us and we will send you a duplicate at a lower cost. The previous card will then be invalid.

Your SIS card features the following information :

  • your national register Number
  • your surname, first name, date of birth
  • the card number
  • the identification of the mutualité
  • your status (for example, self-employed person)

Only institutions linked to the social security system have the means for reading or changing this information. Leave your SIS card at home when you go abroad: you will not need it. It is better to take the European Health Insurance Card (carte CEAM), delivered by Partenamut.

Reimbursement of medical care

Stickers

  • The stickers are essential for identifying the documents we send you.
  • Some service providers (hospitals, gynaecologists) also ask for them for laboratory tests.
  • Be sure to keep a supply on hand, by ordering them from partenamut@home.
  • N.B.! The stickers are not valid abroad.

Health-care provided certificates

  • Reimbursement: send Partenamut the health-care provided certificate (hard copy document) the doctor provides with an identification sticker affixed in the box specified.
  • You have 2 years to send it to Partenamut.

You are reimbursed in the following way: you pay the full price to the doctor and the mutualité reimburses you retroactively.

You can keep track of your reimbursements via our online, partenamut@home.
